I initially had a big messy huge thing, because I wanted to generate the whole thing in Grasshopper, but Bryan let me know that it was in fact okay to create parts of the object in Rhino. So I made one individual 'layer' - the chamfered polygon shape - then distributed it across a line, with half of the layers rotated and half of the layers remaining the same to create a pineapple-like pattern:

And then I used that to print mold positives, and from that, I cast the plaster molds.
